Here is another part of your social media strategy that you need to take a look at for 2013:
Sharable Content
What’s that? Well, lets take look at how social media works (I know we’ve done this before, just stay with me). You post something on Facebook and someone “likes” it. Well, that’s exciting. Maybe 150 people liked your post–but, how many people shared it?
The way to really use social media is by getting your content out there. The more people talking about you, and sharing your content, the more new people you’re reaching through their social media networks. That’s LEVERAGE and that’s how you get your name out there. In order to do this, you need good quality content that others want to share.
Tweets
Are your tweets re-tweet worthy? Are you sharing quotes from famous people all the time? Or are you sharing your quotes  that lead back to your blog that others re-tweet? That is what you want.
How many re-tweets are you getting on your content? If it is not much then you need to review the content your are putting out there. Make sure it is your unique content that is being re-tweeted.
Facebook Fan Page
Let’s say you have 1,000 people who have “liked” your fan page. That’s great! But, are they continually coming back? What keeps them coming back is great content – written and images. Put your videos out there, too!
YouTube
Who is sharing your YouTube videos? Anyone? Why not? Is it because your keywords aren’t strong enough or is it the topic? Make sure you are making videos for your target market that really meet a need. Then you will get responses and more views. It may take a little research, but it is worth it for quality/sharable content.
So, as you’re preparing for 2013 take a look at what has been shared through your social media. Make an effort to write quality content that your peeps will find useful and new. Then tell me about it. And remember, to RT, Share, Re-Pin!
