Do blogs influence the consumer to purchase a particular brand, product or service?
They absolutely can influence consumers to make a specific purchase, depending on the content you provide and the effectiveness of your traffic generation to that blog.
The key? Differentiate your product or service in your blog and everything else you do online. Tell them why they should buy from you rather than the competitor. Build credibility and relationships of trust with your consumer, so they will want to buy from you. And finally, inform and entertain – give them the information that they need to know to make a buying decision.
